Simba Infrastructure Limited has formed a strategic partnership with Galaxy Backbone Limited (GBB) to offer hosted Unified Communications (UC) and advanced call centre solutions across Nigeria.

The collaboration brings together Simba’s expertise as Avaya’s exclusive business partner in West Africa and Galaxy Backbone’s sovereign national infrastructure, including extensive fibre networks and Tier III data centres. The joint solution targets enterprises, government agencies, and large contact centres looking to modernise their communication systems with reliable, locally hosted platforms.

Through this partnership, customers gain access to cloud-based UC tools that integrate voice, video, messaging, and collaboration features. The offering also includes omnichannel contact centre solutions with AI-powered routing, real-time analytics, workforce management, and seamless integration with business applications.

The services will run on Galaxy Backbone’s secure, sovereign infrastructure, addressing key concerns around data sovereignty, reliability, and compliance for Nigerian organisations. This hosted model helps companies reduce capital expenditure on on-premise hardware while gaining enterprise-grade performance and local support.

Many Nigerian businesses and public institutions still operate with fragmented or outdated communication systems that are expensive to maintain and challenging to scale. The new platform offers a flexible path to digital transformation with improved customer experience capabilities and operational efficiency.

Galaxy Backbone, as the Federal Government’s primary shared ICT infrastructure provider, brings nationwide connectivity and high-resilience data centres. Simba Infrastructure contributes specialist Avaya implementation experience and technical delivery strength across the region.

The partnership is particularly relevant for sectors with high customer interaction volumes, including banking, telecommunications, insurance, and government services. It aligns with Nigeria’s broader push for digital infrastructure development and local hosting of critical services.

This collaboration strengthens both companies’ positions in Nigeria’s growing enterprise communications market. As organisations accelerate digital transformation and hybrid work models, demand for modern, secure, and scalable UC and contact centre solutions continues to rise.

The hosted UC and call centre services are now available to organisations seeking to upgrade their communication infrastructure with local expertise and infrastructure.
