Salesforce is doubling down on its artificial intelligence ambitions, announcing expanded partnerships with OpenAI and Anthropic at its Dreamforce 2025 conference. The move signals a deeper integration of cutting-edge AI technologies into the newly launched Agentforce 360 platform, designed to revolutionize how enterprises and regulated industries operate with AI-driven insights.
The expansion cements Salesforce’s strategy to make Agentforce 360 the “nerve center” of enterprise AI adoption, bridging its software ecosystem with leading AI models like OpenAI’s GPT-5 and Anthropic’s Claude series.
OpenAI Partnership Brings Agentforce 360 to ChatGPT
Under the enhanced collaboration with OpenAI, Salesforce announced that Agentforce 360 will soon be available directly within ChatGPT, marking a significant leap in AI interoperability. This integration allows users to query sales data, review customer interactions, and even generate Tableau visualizations simply through natural language commands.
The partnership also debuts Agentforce Commerce, a new tool enabling retailers to list and sell products via ChatGPT’s Instant Checkout feature while maintaining control over customer data and fulfillment. This seamless fusion of Salesforce’s CRM capabilities with ChatGPT’s conversational interface aims to redefine enterprise workflow automation.
“Our partnership with Salesforce is about making the tools people use every day work better together,” said Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI. “By integrating Salesforce with ChatGPT, we’re bringing enterprise workflows to where people already are.”

The collaboration capitalizes on ChatGPT’s 800 million weekly users and Slack’s 5.2 billion weekly messages, embedding Salesforce functionality into the digital environments where professionals already communicate and collaborate.
Anthropic Collaboration Targets Regulated Industries
Salesforce’s renewed partnership with Anthropic focuses on industries requiring high levels of security and compliance, such as finance, healthcare, and cybersecurity. Through this alliance, Claude models are now integrated into Salesforce’s trust layer, offering enterprises AI solutions that emphasize safety, reliability, and ethical standards.
“Anthropic shares our passion for principled AI,” a Deloitte executive noted, emphasizing the company’s commitment to responsible deployment. Clients like CrowdStrike and RBC Wealth Management are already leveraging Claude through Amazon Bedrock integrated with Agentforce 360.
This partnership positions Anthropic as the first large language model provider fully embedded within Salesforce’s secure cloud, setting a new benchmark for AI governance in sensitive business sectors.
Competing in a Crowded Enterprise AI Market
The announcement arrives amid intensifying competition in the enterprise AI space. Google recently launched Gemini Enterprise at $30 per user monthly, while Microsoft continues its massive $14 billion investment in OpenAI. Against this backdrop, Salesforce aims to distinguish itself through trust, integration depth, and industry specialization.
Despite a 26% decline in Salesforce’s stock price this year, contrasting with the S&P 500’s 13% rise, the company reports more than 12,000 customers already using Agentforce 360. Early adopters include Reddit, OpenTable, Adecco, and Williams-Sonoma, showcasing its growing traction in the corporate world.
The Agentic Enterprise Vision
Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff describes the company’s evolving strategy as the foundation of an “Agentic Enterprise”, a model where AI enhances human capability rather than replaces it. “Agentforce 360 connects humans, agents, and data on one trusted platform,” Benioff stated, reaffirming Salesforce’s vision to make AI work for people, not against them.
As AI competition heats up, Salesforce’s expanded alliances with OpenAI and Anthropic may well define the next era of enterprise software, one where intelligent agents collaborate seamlessly with human teams to drive productivity, insight, and trust.
