Netflix emerged as the top winner at the 83rd Annual Golden Globe Awards on January 11, 2026, securing seven trophies across its slate of original content. The ceremony, held in Los Angeles, highlighted the streamer’s strength in limited series and animated features, with Adolescence and KPop Demon Hunters leading the charge.
The limited series Adolescence swept four categories: Best Limited or Anthology Series or TV Movie, Best Actor in a Limited Series or TV Movie (Stephen Graham), Best Supporting Actor in a TV Series (Owen Cooper), and Best Supporting Actress in a TV Series (Erin Doherty). The show, which explores searing dramatic themes, went 4-for-5 in its nominations.
Animated film KPop Demon Hunters added two more wins: Best Motion Picture – Animated and Best Original Song (“Golden,” performed by HUNTR/X featuring EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and REI AMI). The film, about a demon-fighting K-pop girl group, has been a streaming sensation, breaking viewership records on Netflix.
Netflix’s seventh win came from Frankenstein in Best Motion Picture – Drama, rounding out a dominant night for the platform. Other streamers also fared well: Apple TV+ and HBO Max each took three awards, while Hulu claimed one.
On the film side, Warner Bros.’ One Battle After Another matched Adolescence with four wins, including Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy. Focus Features’ Hamnet won Best Motion Picture – Drama with two total awards.
Netflix’s haul underscores its continued investment in original programming, following a strong 2025 awards season. The full list of winners is available on the official Golden Globes website.
