The Malian government has launched a new digital health portal aimed at enhancing public access to healthcare services, information, and resources across the country.
The platform, unveiled by the Minister of Health, allows citizens to book appointments, access medical records, consult with healthcare providers remotely, and receive health education materials. Officials described the initiative as a major step towards modernising the health system and bridging gaps in service delivery, particularly in rural areas.
Minister of Health, Dr. Fanta Siby, emphasised the portal’s potential to improve efficiency and patient outcomes. “Digital health is the future. This platform will make quality healthcare more accessible and responsive to the needs of our people,” she said.
The project was developed in collaboration with local technology firms and international partners, with a focus on data security and user privacy. Early feedback from pilot users has been positive, with many appreciating the convenience of online services.
The launch aligns with Mali’s broader digital transformation agenda and efforts to strengthen the healthcare system amid ongoing challenges.
