Google is rolling out a new suite of AI-powered travel features across Search, expanding its “Flight Deals” tool to more than 200 countries and introducing new planning and booking capabilities designed to streamline how users prepare for trips.
The company announced on Monday that its AI-driven Flight Deals feature, initially launched in August across the U.S., Canada, and India, is now available worldwide. The expansion will help millions of travelers quickly discover affordable flights by simply describing their travel needs.
Flight Deals Goes Global
With today’s launch, Flight Deals will now be accessible across major markets including the U.K., France, Germany, Brazil, Mexico, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, and many more. The tool also now supports over 60 languages, making it one of the broadest AI-rollouts in Google Flights to date.
To use the feature, travelers only need to describe where, when, and how they want to travel. Google’s AI will then surface the best available deals tailored to the request.
Google says the tool is aimed at simplifying the early stages of travel planning, especially for people who are flexible with their destination or dates.

AI Mode Gets Canvas: Smarter, More Organized Trip Planning
Google is also enhancing AI Mode, its conversational AI interface inside Search, with a new trip-planning capability powered by the Canvas tool.
Originally introduced as a workspace for organizing study plans and collecting information over time, Canvas can now automatically generate travel itineraries using real-time data from across Google services.
Using the “Create with Canvas” option, users receive a unified planning board that includes:
- Real-time flight and hotel prices
- Hotel comparisons with pricing and amenities
- Google Maps details (photos, reviews, travel times)
- Restaurant recommendations
- Activity suggestions based on proximity
Users can continue refining their plans through follow-up questions, such as deciding between hotels closer to restaurants versus hiking trails.
The new Canvas travel features are currently available on desktop to U.S. users enrolled in Search Labs.
Agentic Booking Expands to All U.S. Users
Google is also broadening the rollout of AI Mode’s agentic capabilities, allowing users to get hands-free help with booking services.
Previously limited to Labs testers, all U.S. users can now ask AI Mode to help them book:
- Restaurant reservations
- Event tickets
- Beauty and wellness appointments
The system can process multiple preferences at once, such as date, time, party size, cuisine, and location, and will search across reservation platforms to surface real-time availability.
Google says this is part of its broader goal to make Search not just a tool for finding information but also for completing tasks directly within the interface.
Coming Soon: Booking Flights and Hotels Directly in AI Mode
Looking ahead, Google plans to let users complete flight and hotel bookings directly inside AI Mode, without navigating to external sites.
Future updates will allow travelers to compare flights, view prices and schedules, browse hotel room photos, check amenities, read reviews, and finalize reservations, all through conversational prompts.

A New Era for Travel Search
With these updates, Google is positioning Search as a full-service travel assistant powered by AI—from finding the cheapest flights to planning itineraries and even completing bookings. The company says it aims to remove friction from trip planning while using data from across its ecosystem to deliver personalized, real-time recommendations.
