Master Power Technologies (MPT), a pan-African provider of data centre and critical power solutions, has officially opened its new Customer Experience Centre at its expanded regional headquarters here.
The facility, representing a R50 million investment, was launched on June 22, 2026. It forms part of MPT’s new 6,000 square metre headquarters, which will house around 200 employees and serve as the company’s African base. The site is strategically located between Johannesburg and Pretoria, near major data centre hubs.
The Customer Experience Centre features advanced testing capabilities, including a 2 MVA uninterruptible power supply (UPS) test platform and a 400 kW cooling system test centre described as the most comprehensive of its kind on the continent. These allow for hands-on demonstrations, performance validation to European standards, training, and pre-deployment testing for clients and partners.
MPT founder and managing director Menno Parsons said the centre enables customers to interact directly with the company’s technologies. “It provides a space where customers can engage with our technology, see it in action, and understand the depth of our capabilities,” he noted.
Established in 1999, MPT has evolved from a UPS provider into a full-service firm offering end-to-end data centre solutions, including power, cooling, and monitoring systems under brands such as SURE and AIVA. The company has delivered over 150 data centre projects across more than 20 African countries and was the first African business certified as an Endorser of the European Code of Conduct for Energy Efficiency in Data Centres in 2025.
The new centre supports MPT’s growth amid rising demand for reliable data centre infrastructure across Africa, providing a platform for innovation, collaboration, and skills development in critical power systems.
