Amutable, a new company dedicated to enhancing the security and reliability of Linux systems, today announced its official launch. Founded by industry veterans, Amutable aims to replace reactive security measures with built-in, verifiable integrity, empowering developer and operational teams to achieve trust and compliance goals through innovative tooling and architecture.

In an era where critical infrastructure demands unwavering reliability, Amutable is poised to transform how Linux workloads are managed. By defining clear standards of correctness and establishing robust verification foundations, the company enables organizations to build and maintain secure systems without the burden of traditional security heuristics. Over the coming months, Amutable will roll out advanced capabilities designed for critical projects, ensuring determinism and integrity across Linux environments.

“It is with great pleasure that we announce Amutable and our mission to deliver determinism and verifiable integrity to Linux systems,” said Chris Kühl, CEO of Amutable. “Our team is committed to collaborating with the broader Linux community to make verifiable integrity a reality for workloads everywhere.”

The founding team brings unparalleled expertise from open-source giants. Led by CEO Chris Kühl, CTO Christian Brauner, Chief Engineer Lennart Poettering, and Chief Product Officer David Strauss, the engineering roster includes Rodrigo Campos Catelin, Zbyszek Jędrzejewski-Szmek, Kai Lüke, Daan De Meyer, Joaquim Rocha, Aleksa Sarai, and Michael Vogt. These experts have shaped foundational technologies such as systemd, Linux, Kubernetes, runc, LXC, Incus, and containerd, and have contributed to distributions like Debian, Fedora/CentOS, SUSE, Ubuntu, Flatcar Container Linux, ParticleOS, and Ubuntu Core.

Headquartered in Berlin, Germany, Amutable is already engaging the open-source community. Team members will be presenting talks and hosting discussions at FOSDEM, inviting collaboration to advance Linux security standards.

“Amutable’s mission is to deliver verifiable integrity to Linux workloads everywhere,” added Christian Brauner, CTO. “We look forward to working towards this goal with the broader Linux community.”
