NALA has secured a $50 million debt facility to accelerate the expansion of its cross-border payments infrastructure across Africa and beyond.

The funding will support the fintech company’s plans to scale its payment rails, strengthen its technology platform, and enter new markets. NALA enables individuals and businesses to send money across borders with lower fees and faster settlement times compared to traditional banks and remittance providers.

This latest capital injection brings NALA’s total funding to date above $100 million. The company has experienced rapid growth, particularly in corridors between Africa and key markets in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Its platform supports both consumer remittances and business payments, serving users in countries including Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, Tanzania, and Ghana.

The new facility will be used to enhance compliance infrastructure, expand local payment partnerships, and invest in product development for high-volume enterprise use cases. NALA aims to make sending and receiving money in multiple African currencies simpler and more reliable for global users.

As digital payment adoption continues to rise across Africa, NALA is positioning itself as a key infrastructure player connecting the continent to the global economy. The company has reported strong transaction volume growth in recent quarters, driven by increasing e-commerce activity and diaspora remittances.

With this funding, NALA expects to deepen its market presence and improve service offerings for both retail and business customers. The move reflects growing investor confidence in African fintech companies that are building scalable, compliant cross-border payment solutions.
