In 2023, I found myself constantly hearing people say, “Tech this, tech that.” Everywhere I turned, there were tech bros and tech sis conversations, and of course, the famous line: There’s money in tech.

That was honestly what got me curious enough to try. Looking back, it wasn’t the most thoughtful reason, but it was enough to get me started. And that first step changed everything.

I began with Software Engineering at ALX Africa because, at the time, I believed that being “in tech” meant being able to code. We started with C, then moved to Python. I did the assignments, understood the concepts, but deep down, I wasn’t enjoying it.

So, I paused.
I needed to figure out where I truly belonged.

That was when I found Project Management. I took the Google Project Management course on Coursera and completed it in three months. During that course, I discovered the world of Agile and Scrum, two words that changed my direction completely.

Not long after, I saw a LinkedIn post for a Scrum Master internship. I applied, and got in! That opportunity gave me hands-on experience and a clearer picture of how teams build great products together.

Gradually, I transitioned into a Product Owner role, and it felt natural. My background in customer service gave me a unique edge; I could understand users, anticipate their needs, and think from their perspective. I love solving real problems, and this role allowed me to do just that.

Then came Salesforce, another turning point. I kept seeing it mentioned online and got curious. As I explored, I realized it wasn’t just a sales tool; it was a powerful platform for building real business solutions and improving customer experience.

The more I learned, the more I saw how it connected with what I loved: technology, problem-solving, and user experience. And that’s when I knew, this was my space.

Today, I’m proud to say I’m a:

Helping businesses improve operations and deliver better customer experiences through practical solutions that align technology with real business needs.

My tech journey wasn’t a straight line. It was full of detours, curiosity, and lessons. But that’s what makes it beautiful.

Sometimes, the most fulfilling paths aren’t found by chasing trends, but by listening to what genuinely resonates with you.

And for me, this is just the beginning.
