Google has rolled out its Personal Intelligence feature for Gemini users throughout the Arab world, bringing a new level of personalized AI assistance to subscribers in the region.

Announced on April 14, 2026, the feature is now available to all users with Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscriptions across the Middle East and North Africa. It allows Gemini to draw context from a user’s connected Google services, such as Gmail, Google Photos, YouTube watch history, and Search activity, to deliver more relevant, tailored responses instead of generic answers.

For example, Gemini can now suggest books based on your past reading interests, create customized travel plans using your email confirmations and photos, recommend recipes according to ingredients you’ve mentioned, or help organize personal projects with greater context about your preferences and history.

The rollout gives users full control: Personal Intelligence is off by default, and individuals can choose exactly which Google apps to connect. Users can review, edit, or disconnect services at any time through the Gemini settings, with strong emphasis on transparency and data privacy.

This expansion marks a significant step in Google’s efforts to make Gemini more useful and context-aware for Arabic-speaking users. The feature was previously available in select markets like the United States and parts of Asia-Pacific, and is gradually being introduced globally (with some exceptions such as the EU, UK, and certain other regions due to regulatory considerations).

By making Personal Intelligence available in the Arab world, Google aims to strengthen Gemini’s position as a truly helpful daily AI companion in a region with high smartphone adoption and growing interest in generative AI tools. The feature is designed to handle both everyday tasks and more complex queries with greater relevance.

Access is currently limited to paid Google AI subscription tiers, though Google has indicated that a free version may roll out to broader users in the coming weeks.

The launch comes as competition in the regional AI space intensifies, with local and global players investing heavily in Arabic language capabilities and culturally relevant features. Google’s move reinforces its commitment to the MENA market, where it has been expanding Gemini’s language support and local integrations.

For subscribers in countries like the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and across the broader Arab region, Personal Intelligence transforms Gemini from a general chatbot into a more intelligent personal assistant that understands individual context while respecting user privacy.

As AI becomes more embedded in daily life, features like this highlight the shift toward personalized intelligence that adapts to each user rather than offering one-size-fits-all responses. Early feedback from the region suggests users appreciate the added relevance, particularly for productivity, travel planning, and content discovery.

The feature is now live in the Gemini app and on gemini.google.com for eligible users in the Arab world. Those with qualifying subscriptions can enable it directly in settings to start experiencing more personalized AI interactions.
