e& United Arab Emirates has been recognised by Ookla as the world’s fastest mobile network for the period covering the second half of 2025, according to the latest Speedtest Awards.

The operator achieved a Speed Score of 89.11, with median download speeds of 830.05 Mbps and upload speeds of 48.18 Mbps during Q3 and Q4 2025. It also secured the title of world’s fastest 5G network for the fourth consecutive time in the same period.

Only national providers previously ranked as the fastest in their home markets are eligible for the global award. This marks the fifth time e& UAE has received the world’s fastest mobile network distinction.

e& (formerly Etisalat) operates in a highly competitive domestic market alongside du. The UAE has consistently ranked among the top countries globally for mobile broadband speeds, supported by extensive 5G deployment and infrastructure investment. Ookla’s analysis is based on millions of consumer-initiated tests via the Speedtest platform.
