Fawry, Egypt’s leading fintech company, and Creative Digital Solutions (CDS), an Odoo Gold Certified Partner, have launched a direct integration between Fawry’s Business Tap N Pay application and the Odoo business management system. The move allows merchants to accept contactless payments and automatically sync them into their sales, invoicing and accounting workflows within a single platform.
Powered by SoftPOS technology, Tap N Pay turns NFC-enabled smartphones and tablets into payment terminals. Merchants can accept bank cards and e-wallets without traditional POS hardware. Every transaction processed through the app is automatically matched to sales orders, invoices and ledger entries in Odoo, reducing manual data entry and speeding up reconciliation.
The integration builds on an earlier strategic partnership announced in 2025 in which Fawry’s payment acceptance capabilities were linked with Odoo’s POS and cloud-based management tools, with CDS providing technical implementation and support across Egypt. The latest step focuses specifically on the mobile SoftPOS application, targeting retailers, wholesalers, food-and-beverage operators and manufacturers that want lighter, more flexible payment infrastructure.
By eliminating the need for dedicated terminals and automating the flow of payment data into the ERP system, the solution aims to cut operational friction and improve data accuracy. It also aligns with the Central Bank of Egypt’s push to expand SoftPOS adoption and advance the national digital payments infrastructure.
For Fawry, the integration deepens its presence inside the operational software used by Egyptian businesses. For CDS, it strengthens the value of its Odoo implementations by embedding a widely used local payment rail. Merchants gain a practical path to accept modern contactless payments while keeping their financial records in one system.
Adoption will depend on how easily existing Odoo users can activate the link and whether the SoftPOS experience proves reliable enough to replace or complement traditional terminals. In a market still shifting toward cashless transactions, tighter connections between payment acceptance and back-office systems remain a clear operational advantage.
