The appointments see Udochi Obiukwu elevated to Chief Academic Officer, Lovelyn Okonkwo appointed Registrar, and Graham Ekoh promoted to Deputy Registrar, according to a statement released by the university.
Obiukwu, who previously served as Vice President of Instructional Design, will now oversee the institutionโs academic quality, curriculum development, learning design, and overall educational experience. The university credited her with playing a central role in shaping Mivaโs learning model and ensuring its programmes remain rigorous and relevant to the needs of modern learners.
Before her appointment, Obiukwu led efforts to develop and improve the universityโs instructional framework, contributing significantly to the design and delivery of academic content across the institution.
In a separate appointment, Okonkwo was named Registrar after serving as Vice President of Admissions and Learner Experience. The university said she played a critical role in building several core departments, including admissions, customer support, student success advisory, and commercial operations.
According to the institution, Okonkwoโs leadership has been instrumental in improving the student experience while fostering a culture centred on empathy and service excellence. As Registrar, she will oversee key administrative functions and continue to support the student journey across the university.
Miva also promoted Graham Ekoh from Partnerships Lead to Deputy Registrar. The university noted that Ekoh has been influential in establishing strategic partnerships and strengthening the regulatory foundations that have supported the institutionโs expansion.
His work, the statement said, has helped position Miva as a credible and respected institution within Nigeriaโs higher education landscape. In his new role, he will focus on reinforcing the systems, partnerships, and governance structures that underpin the universityโs operations.
The university said the promotions reflect not only the executivesโ individual achievements but also their commitment to the institutionโs values and long-term mission.
