Liquid Intelligent Technologies, a business of Cassava Technologies, has expanded its cloud and cybersecurity offerings in Botswana as part of efforts to strengthen the countryโ€™s digital resilience and support enterprise growth.

The company announced that businesses of all sizes in Botswana will now have access to its enterprise-grade cloud and cybersecurity services. The rollout coincides with Liquidโ€™s 10th anniversary of operations in the country.

At the center of the new offering is Secure360, Liquidโ€™s integrated cybersecurity framework designed to help organizations move from reactive breach response to proactive threat detection, protection, and assurance.

The platform combines local service delivery with Liquidโ€™s pan-African digital infrastructure and partnerships with global technology providers. This gives businesses access to advanced security and cloud capabilities aligned with Botswanaโ€™s national digital transformation goals.

โ€œOver the last decade, Liquid has deployed more than 1,174 kilometers of fibre, bringing multi-terabit capacity and high resilience to the region,โ€ said Odirile Tamajobe.

He added that the companyโ€™s 730-kilometer fibre backbone along Botswanaโ€™s A1 road has positioned the country as a regional connectivity hub, linking networks in Zimbabwe, South Africa, Kenya, Zambia, Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Sudan.

โ€œBy bringing cloud and cybersecurity services into the country, we are empowering local businesses with world-class digital solutions that enable them to compete globally,โ€ Tamajobe said.

The expansion reflects Cassava Technologiesโ€™ โ€œOne Cassavaโ€ strategy, which integrates digital infrastructure, cloud services, data centers, and cybersecurity into a unified platform.

โ€œWhen organizations engage with Liquid in Botswana, they gain access to the full strength of Cassavaโ€™s digital ecosystem,โ€ said Ziaad Suleman.

According to Suleman, customers can also access data center services, AI readiness assessments, and tailored technology roadmaps designed to support secure innovation and long-term digital resilience.

The move comes as Botswana advances its Vision 2036 agenda, which aims to expand digital services across government, financial services, telecommunications, and critical infrastructure sectors.

By extending its cloud and cybersecurity capabilities in Botswana, Liquid and Cassava Technologies are positioning themselves to play a larger role in supporting the countryโ€™s digital transformation and economic competitiveness.
