Coinbase has announced a major new partnership with Kemet Trading, a leading crypto derivatives Order and Execution Management System (OEMS) and Portfolio Management platform. The collaboration, which also includes a strategic equity investment from Coinbase Ventures, aims to significantly improve how large institutions trade cryptocurrencies.

Through this integration, institutional clients using Kemet’s platform can now access multiple Coinbase trading venues including Coinbase Exchange, Coinbase Derivatives Exchange, Coinbase International Exchange, and Deribit all from a single interface. This allows them to execute complex strategies across spot, futures, and options markets more efficiently.

For big players like hedge funds, asset managers, and trading firms, this means faster order routing, better liquidity access, and the ability to manage sophisticated multi-venue trades without switching between different systems. It simplifies what used to be a fragmented and time-consuming process.

The partnership reflects Coinbase’s continued push to strengthen its institutional offerings and build what many are calling an “everything exchange” for professional crypto traders. Kemet, founded with roots in Egypt and based in New York, brings specialized expertise in advanced trading technology tailored for institutions.

This move comes at a time when institutional interest in crypto derivatives continues to grow rapidly. By teaming up with Kemet, Coinbase is making its deep liquidity pools and diverse product offerings more accessible and user-friendly for professional traders who demand speed, reliability, and advanced tools.

Both companies see this as a win for the maturing crypto market. Institutions gain better execution quality and portfolio oversight, while Coinbase expands its reach in the high-volume institutional segment.

The partnership is already generating excitement in the crypto industry, with many viewing it as another important step toward bridging traditional finance with digital assets. As regulatory clarity improves and more capital flows into crypto, tools like this will play a key role in driving mainstream adoption among large investors.
