Belfor Tech, the African technology company founded by entrepreneur Thaddeus Onindi, has announced a strategic partnership with Flutterwave, marking a significant step in the company’s push to build AI-powered digital commerce infrastructure for businesses across Africa.

The partnership is expected to strengthen Belfor Tech’s ability to integrate seamless payment solutions, intelligent automation systems, and scalable business infrastructure into its growing ecosystem of enterprise technology products.

The collaboration comes as African businesses increasingly seek unified digital systems capable of handling payments, operations, customer engagement, and workflow automation within a single ecosystem.

According to the company, the partnership with Flutterwave will help businesses using Belfor Tech’s platforms access more efficient payment processing capabilities while supporting broader expansion across African markets.

“Our focus has always been on building technology infrastructure that helps African businesses scale more efficiently,” said Thaddeus Onindi, founder of Belfor Tech. “Partnering with Flutterwave allows us to combine intelligent business systems with trusted payment infrastructure, creating a stronger operational ecosystem for businesses navigating Africa’s digital economy.”

Founded by Nigerian entrepreneur Olugbenga Agboola, Flutterwave has grown into one of Africa’s leading payments technology companies, providing payment infrastructure for businesses across more than 30 African countries. The company supports enterprises, startups, and global brands with payment processing, remittance infrastructure, and digital commerce solutions.

For Belfor Tech, the partnership represents more than payment integration.

It reflects the company’s broader strategy of building interconnected digital infrastructure designed for the next generation of African businesses.

Building an AI-Driven Business Ecosystem

Belfor Tech has increasingly positioned itself around enterprise technology, automation systems, and AI-powered operational tools aimed at helping businesses modernize internal processes and improve efficiency.

The company operates alongside Ontap, another venture within Onindi’s growing technology ecosystem focused on digital business enablement and intelligent operational systems.

Together, the platforms are being developed to address a growing need across African markets for scalable technology infrastructure capable of supporting business digitization, automation, and cross-border commerce.

Industry analysts say demand for integrated business systems across Africa has accelerated as companies increasingly adopt digital operations, embedded finance, AI-driven workflows, and cloud-based infrastructure.

The partnership with Flutterwave is expected to support Belfor Tech’s long-term vision of creating a connected ecosystem where businesses can manage operations, automate workflows, process payments, and scale digital services more efficiently.

Growing Demand for Enterprise Infrastructure in Africa

The announcement also reflects a broader shift happening within Africa’s technology ecosystem.

While earlier phases of Africa’s startup growth were largely driven by consumer fintech and mobile payments, attention is increasingly turning toward enterprise infrastructure, AI integration, and business automation.

Across the continent, businesses are searching for technology solutions capable of reducing operational inefficiencies, improving customer experiences, and simplifying digital transactions.

By combining payment infrastructure with AI-enabled business systems, Belfor Tech says it aims to position itself at the intersection of Africa’s evolving commerce and technology landscape.

“Our goal is not simply to build software,” Onindi said. “We are building infrastructure that allows African businesses to compete, operate smarter, and scale in a rapidly changing digital economy.”

The company says additional partnerships, platform expansions, and enterprise-focused AI tools are expected to form part of its broader long-term growth strategy across African markets.
