When you have an issue with your bank account, card, transfer, or loan, the fastest solution should not involve digging through random websites looking for a customer care number. Unfortunately, that is exactly what many Nigerians end up doing.

A quick Google search often leads to unofficial blogs, outdated directories, or fake support numbers operated by scammers. In several cases, customers have lost money after contacting fraudulent “support agents” pretending to represent legitimate financial institutions.

To help avoid that problem, this guide compiles verified customer support contacts for Nigerian banks and fintech companies. Every phone number, email address, WhatsApp line, and support handle listed here was sourced directly from the institution’s official website, app, or verified social media account.

What To Do If Your Complaint Is Ignored

If your bank or fintech fails to resolve your complaint within a reasonable timeframe, you can escalate the issue to the Consumer Protection Department (CPD) of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

  • Escalation Email: cpd@cbn.gov.ng

Complaint Escalation Process

  1. Contact the institution through its official customer care line.
  2. Request a complaint or reference number before ending the conversation.
  3. Send a follow-up email within 24 hours, including your complaint reference number.
  4. If the issue remains unresolved after two weeks, or 30 days for loan and excess-charge disputes under CBN guidelines, escalate the matter to the CBN Consumer Protection Department.

Read Important Disclaimer

All contact information listed in this article was obtained directly from official company websites, verified social media accounts, or publicly published support channels as of May 2026.

Banks and fintech companies occasionally update their customer care details, which means some information may change over time. If you notice an outdated number, inactive email address, or incorrect support contact, it is advisable to verify directly through the institution’s official platforms before proceeding.

The purpose of this guide is to provide Nigerians with a safer and more reliable alternative to unverified third-party directories that may expose users to scams or misinformation.
