Network International has introduced a regional acquiring capability that lets merchants accept payments across GCC markets via a single technical integration. The launch, announced in early September 2026, is designed to reduce the operational friction of expanding payment acceptance beyond a home market.
Under the new offering, businesses can connect once to Network International’s platform and gain access to multiple Gulf markets without managing separate local payment providers, integrations or operational processes in each country. Merchants receive centralised reporting and simplified reconciliation alongside the multi-market acceptance.
The company is targeting sectors such as retail, e-commerce, hospitality, travel and services that increasingly operate across borders as regional trade, tourism and digital commerce expand. Group CEO Murat Cagri Suzer noted that commerce in the GCC is becoming more regional while payment infrastructure has remained fragmented. The single-integration approach aims to let merchants expand as easily across the region as they operate domestically.
Network International, a major payments and fintech platform across the Middle East and Africa, has been scaling through mergers, acquisitions and product expansion. The GCC-wide acquiring capability aligns with earlier statements about prioritising full regional coverage so that merchants can accept payments anywhere in the Gulf.
The service does not eliminate local regulatory or settlement requirements in each market, but it consolidates the merchant-facing technology and operational layer. Success will depend on how many markets are fully live at launch, the depth of local scheme and method support, and whether merchants experience genuine reductions in complexity and time-to-market when expanding.
For Network International, the move strengthens its position as a regional rather than purely national acquirer at a time when businesses and platforms increasingly treat the GCC as a connected commercial space.
