Meta has launched Meta Enterprise Platform, a new business unit focused on selling its artificial intelligence technology stack directly to companies, marking what CEO Mark Zuckerberg described as the “next major pillar” of the company’s business.
The platform will initially package Meta’s existing AI tools for enterprise use, including the Muse agent, Meta Business Agent, Muse API and Muse Code. The goal is to help businesses deploy Meta’s models, agents and infrastructure for their own operations rather than primarily using the company’s products for advertising and customer reach.
To lead the effort, Meta has appointed Chirantan “CJ” Desai as Chief Enterprise Platform Officer, reporting directly to Zuckerberg. Desai previously served as CEO and president of MongoDB. Before that he led product and engineering at Cloudflare and spent nearly eight years at ServiceNow, including time as president and chief operating officer.
Desai said Meta has a distinctive position because it combines advanced models and agents with a long track record of helping millions of advertisers and hundreds of millions of businesses scale. The new unit will focus on turning that AI stack into products and services companies can deploy themselves, with security and privacy built in from the outset
The launch builds on earlier enterprise-oriented releases, including Meta Business Agent tools for messaging platforms and developer-facing offerings such as Muse Code. It comes as Meta continues large-scale investment in AI infrastructure and seeks additional revenue streams beyond advertising.
Meta has not yet detailed pricing, a full product roadmap or specific enterprise security specifications. The company positions the platform as a way for organisations of different sizes to use its AI capabilities for innovation, customer service, operations and software development.
