For now, the tab serves as a private hub, meaning only the user can see their own History.

This move is part of X’s continued effort to improve user experience and increase time spent on the platform, especially for long-form content and videos. It also addresses a common complaint that saved or liked content often gets buried and becomes hard to find later.

Early reactions from users in Nigeria and across Africa show excitement, as many rely heavily on X for news, entertainment, sports updates, and educational content. The new tab could make it simpler to keep track of useful threads, videos, and articles.

X has not yet given more details on additional features planned for the History tab, but users can already start using it to better manage their content.

X (formerly Twitter) has introduced a new History tab that brings together users’ bookmarks, liked posts, watched videos, and read articles in one easy-to-access place.
