In 2023, I found myself constantly hearing people say, \u201cTech this, tech that.\u201d Everywhere I turned, there were tech bros<\/em> and tech sis<\/em> conversations, and of course, the famous line: \u201cThere\u2019s money in tech.<\/strong>\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

That was honestly what got me curious enough to try. Looking back, it wasn\u2019t the most thoughtful reason, but it was enough to get me started. And that first step changed everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I began with Software Engineering at<\/strong> ALX Africa<\/a> because, at the time, I believed that being \u201cin tech\u201d meant being able to code. We started with C, then moved to Python. I did the assignments, understood the concepts, but deep down, I wasn\u2019t enjoying it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, I paused.
I needed to figure out where I truly belonged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That was when I found Project Management<\/strong>. I took the Google Project Management course<\/strong> on Coursera and completed it in three months. During that course, I discovered the world of Agile<\/em> and Scrum<\/em>, two words that changed my direction completely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not long after, I saw a LinkedIn post for a Scrum Master internship<\/strong>. I applied, and got in! That opportunity gave me hands-on experience and a clearer picture of how teams build great products together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gradually, I transitioned into a Product Owner role<\/strong>, and it felt natural. My background in customer service<\/strong> gave me a unique edge; I could understand users, anticipate their needs, and think from their perspective. I love solving real problems, and this role allowed me to do just that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then came Salesforce<\/strong>, another turning point. I kept seeing it mentioned online and got curious. As I explored, I realized it wasn\u2019t just a sales tool; it was a powerful platform for building real business solutions and improving customer experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The more I learned, the more I saw how it connected with what I loved: technology, problem-solving, and user experience<\/strong>. And that\u2019s when I knew, this was my space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sometimes, the most fulfilling paths aren\u2019t found by chasing trends, but by listening to what genuinely resonates with you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
