du Pay<\/a>, the digital payments arm of du (a leading UAE telecom operator), has partnered with GCash<\/a>, the Philippines\u2019 largest mobile wallet, to make cross-border remittances faster, cheaper, and more convenient for the large community of Filipino workers in the United Arab Emirates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The collaboration enables UAE-based Filipinos to send money directly to GCash wallets in the Philippines with improved exchange rates, lower fees, and near-instant settlement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Users can now transfer funds from their du Pay accounts to GCash accounts seamlessly through the du Pay app. The service is expected to significantly reduce the time and cost traditionally associated with remittances, while offering greater transparency and security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This partnership addresses long-standing pain points for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), who form one of the largest expatriate communities in the UAE. Many previously relied on cash-based services or higher-cost traditional banks for sending money home to support their families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remittances are a critical pillar of the Philippine economy, and the UAE is one of the top destinations for Filipino migrant workers. By integrating directly with GCash which has over 80 million users in the Philippines du Pay is tapping into a high-volume, high-impact corridor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Filipino workers in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and other Emirates, this partnership means being able to send money home more quickly and affordably, directly to the most widely used digital wallet in the Philippines. Families back home will receive funds faster, helping with daily expenses, education, healthcare, and business needs with less deduction from transaction fees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This development strengthens du Pay\u2019s position in the UAE\u2019s competitive fintech and payments market while giving GCash deeper reach into one of the most important remittance corridors for Filipinos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
