The collaboration will bring <strong>Robotaxi pilot operations to Dubai<\/strong> via the Uber app, marking a major step toward the city\u2019s ambitious smart mobility goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Set to begin later this year, the pilot phase will feature <strong>autonomous vehicles with safety operators on board<\/strong>, laying the groundwork for <strong>fully driverless commercial rides by 2026<\/strong>. This milestone supports Dubai\u2019s strategic vision to make <strong>25% of all transport trips autonomous by 2030<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The MoU signing ceremony was attended by <strong>His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer<\/strong>, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the RTA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are accelerating our international expansion, with the Middle East as a strategic priority,\u201d said <strong>Jennifer Li<\/strong>, CFO and Head of International at WeRide. \u201cEarlier this month, we expanded our partnership with Uber to roll out Robotaxis in 15 additional cities over the next five years. With this MoU, we are proud to formalize our collaboration with Uber and the RTA to bring autonomous vehicles to Dubai.
