Dash AI, a Y Combinator (YC S25) company, is launching an innovative AI agent designed to autonomously complete tasks by integrating with a wide array of existing productivity tools such as Gmail, Notion, Slack, Linear, Google Docs, HubSpot, and calendars. Co-founded by Pranjali Awasthi, Harsha Gaddipati, and Dhruv Roongta, Dash aims to free knowledge workers from the estimated 90% of their time spent on manual, repetitive tasks that current isolated AI tools like ChatGPT cannot address.

Dubbed “ChatGPT with hands,” Dash acts as a universal agent, capable of performing entire tasks by connecting to a user’s digital ecosystem. Unlike traditional AI tools, Dash can update Notion databases, search across Slack, send emails, and generate reports by pulling information from multiple sources. This functionality allows users to automate workflows such as receiving text alerts for new CRM leads, generating weekly reports from Slack, Linear, and Notion data, or updating contractor onboarding documents across various spreadsheets and files simultaneously.

Dash is built on a foundation of AI-inspired agents combined with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). This approach allows the model to retrieve relevant context from a user’s connected tools and then reason across them to perform user-directed actions, such as sending an email or updating a Notion task. The use of RAG helps ensure that Dash operates with real user data, minimizing “hallucinations” often associated with AI. Early users have described Dash as a “control layer” over more than 20 common productivity applications.

The company emphasizes that by automating busy work, Dash allows knowledge workers to focus on strategy, creativity, and relationships, effectively turning 90% of busy work into 0% and significantly boosting productivity. Dash AI is part of Y Combinator’s Summer 2025 batch, which has seen a significant focus on “agentic AI” startups.
